W świetle wyników badań bezpieczny styl przywiązania sprzyjał stabilności, satysfakcji ze związku i lepszej komunikacji, z kolei style pozabezpieczne powiązane były z większą reaktywnością emocjonalną, trudnościami z kształtowaniem bliskości i większym ryzykiem występowania konfliktów. Wyniki potwierdziły znaczenie wczesnych doświadczeń rodzinnych dla funkcjonowania w dorosłych związkach o charakterze uczuciowym.
The paper focuses on analyzing the relationships between attachment styles, retrospectively assessed parental attitudes, and the quality of romantic relationships. The theoretical section presents attachment theory developed by John Bowlby as well as its contemporary models. Both classical and newer classifications of attachment styles and their significance for functioning in romantic relationships are characterized. Additionally, parental attitudes are discussed comprehensively as emotional and cognitive patterns that broadly influence a child’s development and the formation of future relationships. The empirical part presents research conducted using the KPR-Roc, KSP, and an original questionnaire on relationship quality. The analysis included retrospective assessments of parental attitudes, identification of attachment styles, and characteristics of functioning in romantic relationships in the subjective perception of the participants. The results showed clear relationships between parental attitudes presented by parents and the development of attachment styles, as well as between attachment style and the quality of partner relationships. The findings indicate that secure attachment promotes closeness, satisfaction with the relationship, and better communication, whereas insecure attachment styles were associated with greater emotional reactivity, difficulties in satisfying needs, and more frequent conflicts. The results confirmed the importance of early family experiences for functioning in adult romantic relationships.
