W niniejszej pracy przeanalizowano związek pomiędzy poziomem samooceny a poziomem zdrowia psychicznego u dzieci w wieku 13–15 lat z uwzględnieniem zmiennych socjodemograficznych. Grupę badaną stanowiło 146 osób, w tym 79 kobiet i 67 mężczyzn. Badanymi byli uczniowie w wieku 13–15 lat uczęszczający do siódmej lub ósmej klasy Szkoły Podstawowej im. Marii Konopnickiej w Mrokowie.
This study analyzed the relationship between self-esteem and mental health in children aged 13-15, taking into account sociodemographic variables. The study group consisted of 146 individuals, including 79 women and 67 men. Students aged 13-15 attending the seventh or eighth grade of Maria Konopnicka Elementary School in Mroków were students aged 13-15, attending the seventh or eighth grade of Maria Konopnicka Elementary School in Mroków. The measurement tools used in this study included a self-reported questionnaire, the M. Rosenberg Self-Assessment Scale (SES), and the DASS-21 questionnaire. The study results revealed significant relationships between the variables studied. Among other findings, higher self-esteem in children aged 13-15 was associated with lower levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. It was also demonstrated that children aged 13-15 exhibited varying levels of self-esteem and symptoms of depression and anxiety. The study results also indicated that children from reconstituted families experience an increased risk of developing depressive symptoms. Longer average sleep duration per night is associated with lower stress levels, and having a close family member leads to higher self-esteem and lower levels of depression. These results have significant implications for psychological practice in the area of self-esteem and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.en
