dc.description.abstractGłównym celem pracy było udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytania: Czy zachodzi związek pomiędzy ręcznością a cechami osobowości studentów? Czy ręczność koreluje z cechami osobowości studentów? Czy leworęczni studenci różnią się pod względem cech osobowości od praworęcznych studentów? Kwestie te zostały rozstrzygnięte w badaniu 450 ochotników (258 praworęcznych i 192 leworęcznych) z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza do pomiaru ręczności Annett Hand Preference Questionnaire (AHPQ) M. Annett we własnej adaptacji oraz inwentarza osobowości Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R) P. T. Costy i R. R. McCrae. Wyniki badań potwierdziły hipotezę o istnieniu związku między ręcznością a cechami osobowości i ich komponentami u studentów. Stwierdzono, że leworęczność współwystępuje z Neurotycznością, Lękiem i Uczuciami. Dostrzeżono korelację leworęczności ze Skłonnością do porządku w grupie mężczyzn oraz związek pomiędzy praworęcznością a Estetyką wśród kobiet. Zweryfikowano także hipotezę o występowaniu różnic w ogólnym poziomie nasilenia cech osobowości i ich komponentów pomiędzy leworęcznymi i praworęcznymi studentami. Odnotowano, że osoby leworęczne cechuje silniejsza Neurotyczność, Lęk, Depresyjność i Uczucia niż jednostki praworęczne. Ustalono ponadto, że dla kobiet praworęcznych właściwe jest większe natężenie Estetyki niż dla kobiet leworęcznych. Zauważono również większą wewnętrzną spójność dla cech osobowości leworęcznych kobiet i mężczyzn niż między praworęcznymi kobietami i mężczyznami czy płciami w ogóle.pl
dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this study was to determine the following: Is there a relationship between handedness and personality traits among students? Does handedness correlate with personality traits of students? Do left-handed students differ from the right-handed ones in terms of personality traits? These issues have been resolved in the research of 450 volunteers (258 right-handed and 192 left-handed) using own adaptation of the Annett Hand Preference Questionnaire (AHPQ) by M. Annett and the Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PIR) by P.T. Costa and R.R. McCrae. The results confirmed the hypothesis of the connection between handedness and personality traits and its components among students. It was concluded that left-handedness occurs with Neuroticism, Anxiety and Feelings. In a group of men occurred the correlation between left-handedness and Order and in a group of women occurred the correlation between right-handedness and Aesthetics. The hypothesis about occurrence of differences in general level of personality traits and their components between left-handed and right-handed students has been verified. It was noticed that left-handed people are marked by stronger Neuroticism, Anxiety, Depression and Feelings than right-handed individuals. It was determined that for right-handed women the intensity of Aesthetics is bigger than for left-handed women. The internal cohesion between personality traits of left-handed women and men was determined to be bigger than for righthanded women and men or for sexes in general.pl
