Badania przeprowadzono we Wrocławiu, w szkole podstawowej. Wzięło w nich udział 100 osób w wieku 13–14 lat (50 dziewczynek, 50 chłopców). Zastosowano podejście ilościowe, wykorzystując autorski kwestionariusz, Internet Addiction Test (IAT) oraz Skalę Jak Sobie Radzisz? (JSR).
The aim of the study was to investigate problematic internet use and the risk-taking behaviors among adolescents. The research was conducted in a primary school in Wrocław. One hundred individuals aged 13-14 participated (50 girls, 50 boys). A quantitative, proprietary questionnaire, the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and the How Are You Coping Scale (JSR), were used. The results were based on established legal frameworks. A connection was demonstrated between the methods of internet use and problematic internet use: as problematic use intensifies, sensitivity to active and adaptive behaviors decreases, and focus on emotions decreases. No significant relationship was found with regard to seeking social support. A difference was also observed between male and female participants in the analyzed relationships.
