This thesis examines suicidal behaviors among veterinarians and veterinary students in relation to psychological resilience, coping strategies, and selected educational and occupational stressors. The aim of the study was to assess the severity of suicidal behaviors in both groups and to analyze their associations with psychological and situational variables. The study had a quantitative, comparative, and correlational design. It was conducted between December 2025 and January 2026 using an online survey. The sample consisted of 212 participants: 118 veterinarians and 94 veterinary students. The research tools included an original sociodemographic and situational questionnaire, the CD-RISC-25, the Mini-COPE Inventory, and the SBQ-R. The results showed higher levels of suicidal behaviors among veterinary students than among veterinarians. No significant differences were found between the groups in psychological resilience; however, resilience was negatively associated with suicidal behaviors in the whole sample. More adaptive coping strategies were related to lower severity of suicidal behaviors, whereas less adaptive strategies were associated with higher severity. The findings indicate the need to strengthen psychological resilience and adaptive coping strategies in the veterinary community.
