Zastosowano Skalę Unikania i Dystresu Społecznego (SAD), Kwestionariusz Akceptacji i Działania – II (AAQ-II), Inwentarz Depresji Becka – II (BDI-II) oraz autorski Kwestionariusz Sejfityzacji (QS-16).
The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between safetyization, social anxiety, and avoidance tendencies among emerging adults. Safetyization was defined as a psychosocial process associated with socialization toward safety, avoidance of threats, and the development of beliefs and behavioral strategies aimed at reducing risk. The study involved 77 emerging adults. The Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SAD), the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (AAQ-II), the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and the original Safetyization Questionnaire (QS-16) were used. The results revealed significant positive associations between safetyization and social anxiety, as well as between safetyization and avoidance behaviors. A significant relationship was also found between social anxiety and experiential avoidance. The findings support the conceptualization of safetyization as a multidimensional process associated with a focus on threats, reduced tolerance of uncertainty, and avoidance-based regulation strategies. The results further suggest that social patterns related to safety may be associated with individual emotional, social, and cultural functioning.en
