Abstract

Praca dotyczy zależności między osobowością a strategiami radzenia sobie ze stresem u matek dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu. W części teoretycznej omówiono pojęcie stresu, jego źródła, konsekwencje oraz wybrane koncepcje osobowości. Przedstawiono także charakterystykę zaburzeń spektrum autyzmu, w tym kryteria diagnozy, przyczyny, rozwój dziecka oraz funkcjonowanie rodzin. W części metodologicznej zaprezentowano założenia badań własnych, zastosowane narzędzia oraz procedurę badawczą. Następnie przeanalizowano związki między cechami osobowości a strategiami radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz uwarunkowania tych strategii. Całość kończy analiza wyników wraz z wnioskami dotyczącymi badanej grupy.

The study examines the relationship between personality traits and coping strategies among mothers of children on the autism spectrum disorders. The theoretical part discusses the concept of stress, its sources, consequences, and selected theories of personality. It also presents the characteristics of the autism spectrum disorders, including diagnostic criteria, causes, child development, and family functioning. The methodological section outlines the research assumptions, applied tools, and research procedure. Subsequently, the relationships between personality traits and coping strategies, as well as the determinants of these strategies, are analyzed. The paper concludes with an analysis of the results and final conclusions regarding the studied group.
