Aspekty teoretyczne uzupełniają badania empiryczne, do których wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego w postaci ankiety, przeprowadzonej w wybranych marketach wielkopowierzchniowych Leroy Merlin zlokalizowanych w południowej Polsce.

Its main objective is to present the issues related to management methods and to indicate its significance for the functioning of employees teams, taking into consideration the level of the occupational stress and work efficiency within the operational management. The theoretical aspects are complemented by empirical research, where a diagnostic survey method in the form of a questionnaire was used, conducted in selected Leroy Merlin hypermarkets located in southern Poland. In the following chapters of the thesis, the essence of the management as a process containing various levels of management is discussed, especially the role of the operational manager in creating the daily functioning of the organization and work teams. Furthermore, both classical and contemporary management methods are presented, along with their significance for the relationship between a supervisor and his/her subordinates. Issues of occupational stress and the efficiency of work teams are also addressed, indicating the interdependencies between these issues and the management methods applied. The results of the conducted research allow to assess the management methods and their connection with employee stress levels and team work efficiency. The conclusions confirm the main hypothesis and point out that the management method of supervisors is a significant factor affecting mental burden in the workplace and the effectiveness of team functioning within organizations.
