Lęk separacyjny jako predyktor zaburzeń lękowych w adolescencji

Abstract

Niniejsza praca magisterska poświęcona jest analizie lęku separacyjnego jako potencjalnego predyktora zaburzeń lękowych w okresie adolescencji. Część teoretyczna obejmuje zagadnienia definicyjne i klasyfikacyjne lęku separacyjnego w ujęciu DSM-5 i ICD-11, jego etiologię w perspektywie biopsychospołecznej, rolę relacji rodzinnych oraz przywiązania, a także związek lęku separacyjnego z funkcjonowaniem społecznym i edukacyjnym nastolatka. Omówiono również współczesne metody terapeutyczne (terapię poznawczo-behawioralną, systemową i zabawową) oraz znaczenie modelu trójstronnej współpracy nauczyciela, rodzica i psychologa. Część empiryczna ma charakter jakościowego studium przypadku, uzupełnionego o wyniki dwóch standaryzowanych narzędzi diagnostycznych: Inwentarza Stanu i Cechy Lęku dla Dzieci STAIC oraz Kwestionariusza Kompetencji Społecznych KKS. Badaniem objęto sześcioro dzieci i młodzieży w wieku od 12 do 16 lat. Analiza wykazała, że jedynie u jednej osoby, u której wcześniejsze objawy separacyjne nałożyły się na trudną sytuację życiową i brak skutecznej interwencji, wystąpił wysoki poziom lęku jako cechy współwystępujący z obniżonymi kompetencjami społecznymi. U pozostałych badanych poziom lękowości pozostawał w granicach normy. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają, że lęk separacyjny nie zanika samoistnie wraz z wiekiem, a środowisko rodzinne i szkolne może pełnić funkcję zarówno czynnika ryzyka, jak i czynnika ochronnego. Praca podkreśla znaczenie wczesnej, kompleksowej interwencji oraz spójnej współpracy dorosłych z otoczenia dziecka.

This master’s thesis is devoted to the analysis of separation anxiety as a potential predictor of anxiety disorders in adolescence. The theoretical part covers the definition and classification of separation anxiety according to the DSM-5 and ICD-11, its etiology from a biopsychosocial perspective, the role of family relationships and attachment, as well as the relationship between separation anxiety and the social and educational functioning of adolescents. Contemporary therapeutic methods (cognitive-behavioral, systemic, and play therapy) are also discussed, along with the significance of the triadic model of cooperation between teacher, parent, and psychologist. The empirical part takes the form of a qualitative case study, supplemented by the results of two standardized diagnostic instruments: the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC) and the Social Competence Questionnaire (KKS). The study covered six children and adolescents aged 12 to 16. The analysis showed that only in one participant, in whom earlier separation symptoms coincided with a difficult life situation and a lack of effective intervention, did a high level of trait anxiety occur, accompanied by reduced social competence. In the remaining participants, the level of anxiety remained within the normal range. The obtained results confirm that separation anxiety does not disappear spontaneously with age, and that the family and school environment may function both as a risk factor and as a protective factor. The thesis emphasizes the importance of early, comprehensive intervention and consistent cooperation among the adults surrounding the child.
