The aim of this study was to answer the question: Is there a relationship between a sense of meaning in life and building resilience in adults? The group of respondents consisted of 102 adults, 68 of whom were women and 34 men. The research tools used included the SPP-25 Resilience Measurement Scale (SRM) by N. Ogińska-Bulik and Z. Juczyński, and the Purpose in Life Test (PIL), Polish version: the Crumbaugh and Maholick Meaning in Life Scale, adapted by Z. Płużek or K. Popielski. The overall levels of meaning in life and resilience were analyzed, as well as the correlations between variables and the relationships between these constructs and sociodemographic variables in the study population. The results indicated that both the sense of meaning in life and the level of resilience were at an average level among the study group. A partially significant correlation was found between the level of resilience and the sense of meaning in life, as well as a correlation between resilience and age, and a correlation between the sense of meaning in life and age and level of education.
