Weryfikacja hipotezy głównej, zakładającej istnienie dodatniej zależności pomiędzy poziomem samooceny a poziomem realizacji oraz spójnością hierarchii wartości w życiu osób dorosłych, pozwoliła częściowo potwierdzić tę zależność. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że osoby charakteryzujące się wyższym poziomem samooceny częściej przypisywały większe znaczenie wybranym wartościom oraz wykazywały większą spójność preferowanego systemu wartości. Jednocześnie zależności te nie wystąpiły we wszystkich analizowanych wymiarach.pl
Self-Esteem and the Level of Values in the Lives of Adults. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between self-esteem and the level and hierarchy of values in the lives of adults. The thesis consists of an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion. The theoretical part discusses the concept of self-esteem, including its definitions and theoretical approaches, as well as the concept and classification of values. The research problem focused on the relationship between self-esteem and the level and hierarchy of values among adults. The empirical study was conducted on a sample of 100 adults from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship using recognized diagnostic tools: the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES) and Brzozowski’s Value Scale (SW). The findings indicate that self-esteem is partially related both to individuals’ preferred value systems and to selected socio-demographic variables. The strongest relationships were observed with regard to respondents’ age and their assessment of their financial situation. Verification of the main hypothesis, assuming a positive relationship between self-esteem and both the level of value realization and the coherence of the value hierarchy in adult life, allowed this relationship to be partially confirmed. The results suggest that individuals with higher self-esteem tended to assign greater importance to selected values and demonstrated greater consistency within their preferred value systems. However, these relationships were not observed across all analyzed dimensions.en
