Inteligencja emocjonalna i samoocena u muzyków orkiestr dętych

Abstract

Celem niniejszej pracy było określenie poziomu inteligencji emocjonalnej i samooceny u nieprofesjonalnych muzyków orkiestr dętych, a także ustalenie, czy występuje związek między tymi zmiennymi w badanej próbie. Ponadto poddano analizie, czy wybrane czynniki, takie jak płeć, wykształcenie muzyczne czy doświadczenie sceniczne różnicują poziom badanych zmiennych. Celem weryfikacji założonych hipotez badawczych zastosowano standaryzowane narzędzia psychologiczne: Kwestionariusz Inteligencji Emocjonalnej INTE oraz Skalę Samooceny SES M. Rosenberga, a także kwestionariusz uzupełniający dotyczący podejmowanych przez respondentów aktywności muzycznych. Muzycy orkiestr dętych wykazali przeciętny poziom inteligencji emocjonalnej oraz niski poziom samooceny. Nie potwierdzono istnienia związku między inteligencją emocjonalną a samooceną w badanej próbie. Kobiety wykazały wyższy poziom inteligencji emocjonalnej, a mężczyźni wyższy poziom samooceny. Ponadto doświadczenie sceniczne oraz stopień wykształcenia muzycznego respondentów nie różnicowały poziomu samooceny oraz inteligencji emocjonalnej i jej czynników u osób badanych. Uzyskane wyniki badań wskazują na potrzebę wsparcia dobrostanu psychicznego muzyków orkiestr dętych.

The aim of this study was to determine the level of emotional intelligence and self-esteem in non-professional brass band musicians and to determine whether there was a relationship between these variables in the study sample. Furthermore, we analyzed whether selected factors, such as gender, musical education, and stage experience, differentiated the levels of the studied variables. To verify the established research hypotheses, standardized psychological tools were used: the INTE Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire and M. Rosenberg's SES Self-Assessment Scale, as well as a supplementary questionnaire regarding the musical activities undertaken by the respondents. The brass band musicians demonstrated average levels of emotional intelligence and low self-esteem. No relationship between emotional intelligence and self-esteem was confirmed in the study sample. Women demonstrated higher levels of emotional intelligence, and men demonstrated higher self-esteem. Furthermore, stage experience and the level of musical education of the respondents did not differentiate the level of self-esteem, emotional intelligence, or its factors in the study participants. The obtained results indicate the need to support the mental well-being of brass band musicians.
