dc.description.abstractTo understand the meaning and purpose of training, first it is necessary to define it. Knowing the basis is always helpful in further learning. Training is a complex process that deals with improvements in performance. In this paper, the reader will find out what training is, and how it has developed. Information about the history of training will show the methods and techniques that were useful for particular training situations. Information about various training approaches gives the rationale for each type. The reader will also find out why companies train their employees and what it means to the company and to the employees. Statistics about training will provide general information and also show how Poland compares with other Europeans countries. Data from a particular Polish company will show the actual situation and usefulness of training.en
