Kobiety osiągały wyższe wyniki w zakresie empatii i asertywności niż mężczyźni. Wyniki podkreślają znaczenie kompetencji interpersonalnych w budowaniu satysfakcjonujących relacji.pl
The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between empathy, assertiveness, the quality of interpersonal communication, and relationship functioning. Particular attention was paid to the role of empathy and assertiveness in relationship stability, relationship satisfaction, and communication quality between partners. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the foundations of the analyzed variables, referring to contemporary psychological concepts and research findings. The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey method with standardized psychological questionnaires. A total of 110 individuals involved in romantic relationships participated in the study. The following instruments were used: the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI), the Rathus Assertiveness Schedule (RAS), the Marital Communication Questionnaire (KKM), and the Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (KMSS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation analysis, and the independent samples t-test. The results showed that higher levels of empathy and assertiveness were associated with higher levels of support and engagement in interpersonal communication. However, no significant relationships were found between empathy, assertiveness, relationship stability, and relationship satisfaction. Women obtained higher scores in empathy and assertiveness than men. The findings highlight the importance of interpersonal competencies in building satisfying relationships.en
