W badaniach zastosowano strategię wielokrotnego studium przypadku.
This thesis concerns the role of sense of coherence and emotional resources in experiencing occupational stress and coping with it among physiotherapists working with children aged 0-6 years. The theoretical framework was based on Aaron Antonovsky’s salutogenic theory, with particular emphasis on sense of coherence and its components: comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness. The aim of the thesis was to gain an in-depth understanding of the role of sense of coherence and emotional resources in the occupational functioning of pediatric physiotherapists. The study used a multiple case study design. It included six physiotherapists working with children aged 0-6 years. The material consisted of qualitative data from a semi-structured interview and quantitative data from the SOC-29, INTE, PSS-10 and Mini-COPE questionnaires. The results indicated that the main sources of stress were responsibility for the child, difficulties in cooperation with parents or caregivers, and the child’s reactions that hindered therapy. All participants obtained an average overall level of sense of coherence. Emotional resources supported the participants in coping with occupational demands. The thesis indicates the need to consider the specificity of working with a young child and family in support activities for pediatric physiotherapists.en
