The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the attachment styles of adult women and retrospectively assessed experiences related to the father figure during childhood. Both the father’s parenting attitudes (acceptance, autonomy, excessive demands, inconsistency, overprotection) and relational aspects of his functioning, including emotional availability, supportive role toward the daughter, and functioning in the partner relationship, were analyzed. The study was conducted using the Attachment Styles Questionnaire (KSP), the Retrospective Assessment of Parental Attitudes Questionnaire (KPR), and a self-designed survey. The obtained results allow for an empirical verification of the relationship between relational experiences with the father and attachment patterns manifested in the adult functioning of women.
