The purpose of this study was to explore attitudes of the Polish workers in France and to determine major cultural, social and economic differences between these two nations. Data were gathered through the survey with the respondents. The sample consisted of 135 people, 33 women and 102 men, who had recently worked in France. The survey consisted of questions regarding types of works, required documents, differences in education, received pensions and typical habits, why they chose to work abroad, or what was the deciding and leading factor motivating to find some positions in France. In majority of cases these were people representing middle age, with secondary (professional education), and with the basic level of foreign languages. Apart from all negative and inconvenient cultural differences the findings of the study demonstrate expanding tendencies of searching for works abroad. In majority the respondents in order to achieve higher salaries and better standards of life would like to repeat working experience in France.en
