The research problem of this thesis focuses on the impact of project management and the concept of Lifelong Learning (LLL) on the development of key competencies among library staff. This issue encompasses both theoretical and practical dimensions, addressing the challenges faced by modern cultural institutions that implement an increasing number of educational and social projects. As part of the research, specific research questions were formulated regarding the level of existing project management competencies, preferred forms of professional development, the role of LLL, and the barriers hindering the improvement of qualifications in this area. The empirical research was conducted using a diagnostic survey method with an inquiry technique. The research tool was an original, self-designed questionnaire addressed to a purposive sample of library employees involved in project activities. The analysis of the collected data was performed using descriptive statistics and comparative analysis methods. The study's results indicate that participation in projects significantly enhances employees' soft skills; however, the primary barriers to their development remain a lack of time and insufficient institutional support for lifelong learning.
