Inteligencja emocjonalna a satysfakcja seksualna w związkach heteroseksualnych

Abstract

Inteligencja emocjonalna oraz satysfakcja seksualna należą do ważnych obszarów funkcjonowania człowieka, które mogą w istotny sposób wpływać na jakość życia, dobrostan psychiczny oraz satysfakcję z relacji partnerskiej. W ostatnich latach obserwuje się wzrost zainteresowania badaczy tymi zagadnieniami, co wynika z ich znaczenia dla budowania trwałych i satysfakcjonujących związków. Celem niniejszej pracy było zbadanie zależności pomiędzy poziomem inteligencji emocjonalnej a poziomem satysfakcji seksualnej. Przyjęto założenie, że osoby charakteryzujące się wyższą inteligencją emocjonalną będą osiągały również wyższy poziom satysfakcji seksualnej. Badania przeprowadzono w grupie osób dorosłych pozostających w związkach heteroseksualnych. W celu pomiaru analizowanych zmiennych wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Inteligencji Emocjonalnej INTE oraz Kwestionariusz Satysfakcji Seksualnej KSS. W części teoretycznej przedstawiono wybrane definicje, koncepcje i modele inteligencji emocjonalnej, a także omówiono zagadnienie satysfakcji seksualnej oraz czynniki wpływające na jej poziom. Dokonano również przeglądu dotychczasowych badań. W części empirycznej zaprezentowano metodologię badań własnych, charakterystykę badanej grupy oraz analizę uzyskanych wyników. Ostatnia część pracy zawiera omówienie rezultatów badań, wskazanie ich ograniczeń oraz praktyczne implikacje, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem pracy terapeutycznej i pracy z parami.

Emotional intelligence and sexual satisfaction are important aspects of human functioning that can significantly influence quality of life, psychological well-being, and satisfaction within intimate relationships. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to these issues by researchers due to their importance in building stable and satisfying relationships. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and the level of sexual satisfaction. It was hypothesized that individuals with higher emotional intelligence would also report higher levels of sexual satisfaction. The study was conducted among adults involved in heterosexual relationships. The Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (INTE) and the Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (KSS) were used to measure the variables under investigation. The theoretical part of the thesis presents selected definitions, concepts, and models of emotional intelligence, as well as discusses sexual satisfaction and the factors influencing its level. A review of previous research on the subject was also conducted. The empirical part presents the research methodology, characteristics of the study sample, and an analysis of the obtained results. The final section of the thesis includes a discussion of the findings, outlines the study’s limitations, and presents practical implications, with particular emphasis on therapeutic practice and work with couples.
