Pozycja Business models rethought: applying the heuristic methods of Altshuller and Osborn to improve an organization's fitness in a variable environment(Wydawnictwo Studio Emka, 2014) Jasieński, Michał; Rzeźnik, MagdalenaBusiness model (BM) is a universally applicable framework for analyzing an organization’s entire spectrum of activities, from cost structure, revenue streams, to human resources and organizational culture, client networks, collaborators and the essence of what the organization offers, i.e. the customer value proposition. To facilitate an efficient process of re-inventing or re-conceptualizing the BM, we have applied two heuristic tools: Altshuller’s 40 inventive principles and Osborn’s seven SCAMPER questions, which were developed initially for applications in engineering and marketing, respectively. We show examples of how each module of a BM can be modified in a creative and, sometimes, counterintuitive way, thus leading to the improvement of the organization’s functioning in an uncertain and fluctuating business environment.Pozycja Constructing e-learning tools from heuristic methods: multiple whys, circle of analogies and stepwise convergence(Studio Noa ; University of Silesia, 2013) Jasieński, MichałI discuss various methods which may benefit from online implementation, supporting e-learning in the area of creativity and effective thinking at all educational levels, from kindergarten to graduate programs. All procedures comprise a virtual laboratory, capable of generating actual creative olutions to real problems. Tools for creative thinking may be implemented as online procedures allowing the user to conduct heuristic group sessions. I provide examples of individual-user heuristic methods (multiple Why? questions, circle of analogies) and a group-based method (discussion 66 which involves stepwise convergence of ideas generated by semi-independent subgroups).Pozycja Edukacja menedżerów w Polsce: więcej heurystyki i jakości(Fundacja Edukacyjna Przedsiębiorczości, 2012) Jasieński, MichałEdukacja menedżerów w nowej, „sieciowej“, rzeczywistości ekonomicznej świata wymaga położenia nacisku na miękkie umiejętności budowania kapitału społecznego oraz stosowania metod heurystycznych dla rozwiązywania problemów. Pojawia się konieczność pokonania oporu przed innowacyjnością, poprzez budowanie nieformalnej kultury organizacyjnej, która pomoże rozkwitnąć kooperacji oraz kreatywności.Pozycja Innovatics – a new toolbox of skills for innovative production managers(Oficyna Wydaw. PTZP, 2012) Jasieński, Michał; Rzeźnik, MagdalenaWe describe a metaphorical “toolbox” for innovatics – a new set of skills for managers who specialize in innovation management and in the study of innovations. We emphasize the importance of quantitative skills, multidisciplinary inspirations and heuristic methods for generatig innovative solutions. Knowledge of organizational behavior is essential to create in the workplace environment conducive to innovativeness.Pozycja Synergia z punktu widzenia ekogenetyki ilościowej: o złotych miksturach, magicznej interakcji i unikalnej korelacji typów i środowisk(Towarzystwo Naukowe Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego ; Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University, 2009) Jasieński, MichałSynergy from the viewpoint of quantitative ecogenetics: golden mixtures, magical interactions and unique correlations of types and environments The problems encountered by ecogenetics of finding the best combinations of varieties and environments are very similar to those facing researchers or consultants in the areas of management, organizational behavior and applied psychology. It is difficult to define synergy and determine when synergy occurs, because that depends on our hypothesis and on the choice of a measurement scale. For example, multiplicative interactive effects of combined factors which could be interpreted as synergistic disappear if the measurements are expressed on a logarithmic scale. Nonlinearity of reaction norms of interacting types makes it almost impossible to interpolate and extrapolate the synergy effects beyond the described set of conditions. Effects declared as beneficially synergistic may also have side-effects or negative long-term consequences.Pozycja Understanding and innovating business models: some basic methodological issues(Oficyna Wydaw. PTZP, 2013) Jasieński, Michał; Rzeźnik, Magdalena; Candi, M.We discuss basic components of the business model concept, with particular emphasis on rigorous and preferably quantitative methods of analysis of business models. We focus on factors which influence the process of developing customer value proposition - a crucial part of any business model. We also present an international collaborative project aimed at developing methods of making existing business models of SMEs more innovative.
