Rola mediów społecznościowych w kształtowaniu samooceny i postrzegania własnego ciała u adolescentów.
Analizy statystyczne wykonano z wykorzystaniem programu JASP.

The theoretical part discusses the concepts of self-esteem, body image, and the impact of social media on young people’s psychological functioning, with particular emphasis on social comparison processes and the internalization of appearance standards. The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey method among adolescents aged 15–19 years. The research tools included the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES), the Body-Esteem Scale for Adolescents and Adults (BESAA), the Social Media Addiction Scale (SEUS-14), and an original questionnaire. Statistical analyses were performed using JASP software. The results revealed significant relationships between selected aspects of social media use and both body image and self-esteem. Social comparison processes and exposure to appearance-related content were identified as particularly important factors. The findings highlight the importance of media literacy education and preventive interventions aimed at supporting the development of a positive body image and adequate self-esteem among young people.
