The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between attachment style developed within the family of origin, the level of occupational stress, and job satisfaction among teachers. The study also considered the impact of selected sociodemographic variables, such as gender, age, work experience, type of school, and type of educational institution, on the levels of the analyzed psychological variables. The thesis has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part presents issues related to attachment theory, occupational stress, and teachers’ job satisfaction. It also discusses the specific nature of teachers’ professional functioning and the psychological consequences of stress occurring in the work environment. The study was conducted using a quantitative method with a survey technique. Three psychological instruments were used in the research: the Attachment Styles in the Family of Origin Scale (SPRP), the Perceived Stress at Work Questionnaire (PSwP), and the Job Satisfaction Scale (SWJS). The study group consisted of teachers employed in various types of educational institutions. The obtained results made it possible to analyze the relationships between attachment style, occupational stress, and job satisfaction, as well as to determine the significance of selected sociodemographic variables in differentiating the analyzed variables. The conducted research may provide a basis for further analyses concerning teachers’ professional functioning and the influence of family experiences on their psychological and occupational well-being. Keywords: attachment style, occupational stress, job satisfaction, teachers, family of origin
