Celem niniejszej pracy było zbadanie zależności między stylami radzenia sobie ze stresem a funkcjonowaniem zawodowym nauczycieli szkół ponadpodstawowych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem poziomu wypalenia zawodowego oraz zaangażowania w pracę. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono określeniu, które style radzenia sobie ze stresem mają charakter adaptacyjny i sprzyjają efektywnemu funkcjonowaniu zawodowemu, a które mogą zwiększać ryzyko występowania negatywnych konsekwencji psychologicznych. Celem praktycznym pracy było również wskazanie potencjalnych obszarów wsparcia nauczycieli w zakresie radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz profilaktyki wypalenia zawodowego. Główny problem badawczy sformułowano w postaci pytania: jaki jest związek między stylami radzenia sobie ze stresem a poziomem wypalenia zawodowego oraz zaangażowania w pracę nauczycieli szkół ponadpodstawowych?
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between stress coping styles and the professional functioning of secondary school teachers, with particular emphasis on burnout and work engagement. Particular attention was paid to determining which stress coping styles are adaptive and promote effective professional functioning, and which may increase the risk of negative psychological consequences. The practical goal of the study was also to identify potential areas of support for teachers in coping with stress and burnout prevention. The main research problem was formulated as: what is the relationship between stress coping styles and the level of burnout and work engagement among secondary school teachers?
