W części empirycznej zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego. w badaniach wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Inteligencji Emocjonalnej INTE, Skalę Lęku–Cechy SL-C oraz kwestionariusz LBQ służący do pomiaru wypalenia zawodowego.
Abstract The subject of this thesis was the analysis of the relationship between emotional intelligence, trait anxiety, and occupational burnout among primary school teachers. The aim of the study was to determine whether emotional intelligence and trait anxiety are related to the level of occupational burnout among teachers and which of the analyzed variables have the greatest predictive significance for the level of psychological burden experienced by educators. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the issues of emotional intelligence, trait anxiety, and occupational burnout among teachers. Definitions and models of emotional intelligence, psychological approaches to anxiety, and mechanisms of occupational burnout development were presented. Particular attention was paid to the importance of emotional competencies and stress vulnerability in the professional functioning of primary school teachers. The empirical part of the study employed the diagnostic survey method. The Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (INTE), the Trait Anxiety Scale (SL-C), and the LBQ questionnaire measuring occupational burnout were used. An additional author-designed question concerning subjective preparedness for working with students with special educational needs was also included. The obtained results revealed a significant positive relationship between trait anxiety and occupational burnout, as well as a significant negative relationship between emotional intelligence and the level of occupational burnout among primary school teachers. The study also confirmed that a higher sense of preparedness for working with students with special educational needs was associated with lower levels of psychological burden among teachers. The results indicate that emotional competencies may serve a protective function against chronic occupational stress, whereas a high level of trait anxiety increases teachers’ susceptibility to occupational burnout.
