Psychologiczne aspekty kształtowania cen stanowią istotny element strategii marketingowych wpływających na sposób postrzegania ofert oraz decyzje zakupowe konsumentów. Badanie przeprowadzono metodą ankiety internetowej z wykorzystaniem autorskiego kwestionariusza udostępnionego za pośrednictwem platformy Microsoft Forms, a udział w nim wzięło 144 respondentów.
Psychological aspects of pricing constitute an important element of marketing strategies that influence consumers’ perception of offers and their purchasing decisions. The study was conducted using an online survey based on an original questionnaire distributed through Microsoft Forms, and involved 144 respondents. The aim of the research was to determine the impact of price endings, particularly “.99”, “.95”, and rounded prices, on the perceived attractiveness of offers and consumers’ declared willingness to purchase. The results indicate that the influence of price endings is not unequivocal and depends on the type of product and the purchasing context. In the case of everyday consumer goods, some respondents perceived odd-ending prices as more attractive, whereas for luxury products, rounded prices were evaluated more favorably as being more consistent with a prestigious brand image. The study did not provide clear evidence that “.99” price endings increase purchase intentions; however, it confirmed their influence on price perception and offer evaluation. The findings suggest that the effectiveness of psychological pricing strategies is context-dependent and should be adapted to the characteristics of the product and the target consumer group.
