Badanie własne miało charakter opisowo-diagnostyczny i eksploracyjny.
The thesis focuses on the role of the Key Account Manager in building B2B customer value in the traditional trade channel of the FMCG The thesis focuses on the role of the Key Account Manager in building B2B customer value in the traditional FMCG market. Its aim was to determine how people professionally involved in sales, distribution, purchasing, trade customer service and B2B cooperation perceive the importance of KAM in creating value for trade customers. The theoretical part discusses customer relationship management, CRM, Key Account Management and the concept of customer value in B2B relations. It also considers the specific nature of the traditional FMCG market, where product availability, stock rotation, product display, promotions, delivery efficiency and the quality of communication between sales channel participants are particularly important. The empirical study was descriptive-diagnostic and exploratory. It included an online survey conducted among 111 respondents and an individual in-depth interview. The findings indicate that KAM is perceived as a role broader than sales alone, involving data analysis, coordination of activities, support for product rotation, relationship building and solving customer problems. However, the effectiveness of this role is limited by organisational barriers, sales target pressure and dependence on other departments.
