Uzyskane rezultaty mogą stanowić podstawę do projektowania działań wspierających dorosłe osoby w spektrum autyzmu w obszarze funkcjonowania społecznego i zawodowego.
he aim of this study was to analyze the difficulties experienced in daily functioning by adults on the autism spectrum. The theoretical part discusses the concept of Autism Spectrum Disorder in light of current diagnostic classifications (DSM-5-TR, ICD-11), the specific characteristics of adult functioning, and the most frequently reported areas of difficulty, including social communication, daily organization, emotional regulation, and sensory processing. The empirical study was qualitative in nature. An open-ended survey was used to explore the subjective experiences of adults on the autism spectrum. The analysis focused on reported difficulties related to daily routines, fulfilling adult responsibilities, social functioning, sensory overload, and emotional reactions. The results indicate that these difficulties are multidimensional and significantly affect the quality of life of the participants. At the same time, respondents identified coping strategies and emphasized the need for adequate environmental and professional support. The findings may contribute to the development of support systems tailored to the needs of adults on the autism spectrum in social and professional contexts.
