Skuteczność terapii poznawczo-behawioralnej bezsenności (CBT-I) stanowi istotny obszar badań w kontekście rosnącego znaczenia jakości snu dla zdrowia psychicznego i fizycznego człowieka.
The effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) is an important area of research given the growing recognition of sleep quality as a key factor in mental and physical health. The study was conducted using a case study method involving five participants, combining qualitative analysis (interviews and phenomenological analysis) with quantitative measurements carried out before and after therapy using sleep diaries and standardized psychometric instruments: the Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), the Ford Insomnia Response to Stress Test (FIRST), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and the SF-36 Quality of Life Questionnaire. The results indicate significant improvements in sleep parameters, including reduced sleep onset latency, fewer nocturnal awakenings, and increased sleep efficiency. A decrease in insomnia severity, reductions in anxiety and depressive symptoms, and improved daytime functioning were also observed. Qualitative analysis revealed changes in the subjective experience of sleep, including reduced anxiety about insomnia and modification of maladaptive beliefs. The findings also demonstrate improved overall quality of life. These results confirm the high effectiveness of CBT-I and highlight the role of individual factors in therapeutic outcomes.
