Materiał i metody: Badanie przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego w grupie 117 pracowników korporacyjnych. Zastosowano standaryzowane narzędzia psychologiczne: Inwentarz Stanu i Cechy Lęku STAI, Skalę Samooceny SES oraz Kwestionariusz Radzenia Sobie w Sytuacjach Stresowych CISS. Wyższy poziom lęku wiązał się z częstszym stosowaniem emocjonalnego i unikowego stylu radzenia sobie, natomiast wyższa samoocena sprzyjała częstszemu wykorzystywaniu stylu zadaniowego.
The aim of the study was to analyse the relationship between anxiety levels, self-esteem, and coping styles among corporate employees. Material and methods: The study was conducted using the diagnostic survey method in a group of 117 corporate employees. Standardised psychological instruments were used, including the State–Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES), and the Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS). Statistical analyses were performed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, Spearman's rho correlation coefficient, the chi-square (χ²) test, and Fisher's exact test. Results: The mean level of state anxiety was 50.496 points, whereas the mean level of trait anxiety was 50.060 points. The respondents' mean self-esteem score was 25.060 points. The task-oriented coping style was the most frequently used coping strategy. Statistically significant relationships were found between anxiety levels, self-esteem, and coping styles. Higher levels of anxiety were associated with more frequent use of emotion-oriented and avoidance-oriented coping styles, whereas higher self-esteem was associated with more frequent use of the task- oriented coping style. Conclusions: Anxiety levels and self-esteem were significantly associated with coping styles among corporate employees. The findings indicated the need to undertake actions supporting employees' mental health and promoting constructive ways of coping with stress.
