The aim of this thesis was to examine the relationship between state anxiety, trait anxiety, and perceived stress among adults, with particular emphasis on their functioning in educational contexts. The study was conducted among adult learners and employed standardized psychological instruments: STAI-X-1, STAI-X-2, and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), which enabled the assessment of the intensity of the analyzed variables and the verification of the proposed hypotheses. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, and regression models, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the associations between anxiety and stress. The results indicated that both state and trait anxiety were significantly and positively correlated with perceived stress, with trait anxiety emerging as a stronger predictor. These findings are consistent with previous research highlighting the co-occurrence of anxiety and stress and underscore the importance of addressing these factors in work with adult learners. The conclusions drawn from the study may serve as a basis for developing psychological support strategies and educational interventions aimed at enhancing the well-being and learning effectiveness of adults.
