W części teoretycznej przedstawiono charakterystykę ASD, znaczenie kompetencji nauczycieli w pracy z uczniami neuroróżnorodnymi oraz rolę wiedzy, empatii i doskonalenia zawodowego w procesie edukacyjnym.
The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between teachers' knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and levels of occupational stress, stress coping strategies, and emotional intelligence. The theoretical section presents the characteristics of ASD, the importance of teachers' competencies in working with neurodiverse students, and the role of knowledge, empathy, and professional development in the educational process. The study was conducted using a diagnostic survey among 100 primary school teachers from the Greater Poland Voivodeship. A proprietary questionnaire on ASD knowledge was used, along with standardized psychological tools: the Mini-COPE, KPS, and INTE. The results indicated that higher levels of teachers' knowledge of ASD were associated with lower levels of occupational stress, more frequent use of adaptive coping strategies, and higher emotional intelligence. The study findings emphasize the importance of systematic professional development for teachers and the development of competencies necessary for effective work with students on the autism spectrum.
